The Liège IT service provider NSI IT Software & Services has taken over the Luxembourg company MULTIDATA IT-Solutions. With this acquisition NSI and its parent company Cegeka are taking their first commercial steps in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. MULTIDATA supplies hardware and software services to SMEs and achieves a turnover of 3.1 million euro with 20 employees.

NSI achieved a ten percent growth in turnover in 2010 and is aiming for 22 percent growth this year. They have already recruited 30 new employees. “The time is ripe to set our sights on the Grand Duchy, as foreseen in the 2009 three-year plan,” says general director Manuel Pallage. “We are not just gaining market share in Luxembourg with the takeover of MULTIDATA; we are also expanding our local service provision in our own country. From MULTIDATA’s branch in Sankt-Vith, we will be better able to offer services to our German-speaking clients in Belgium.”

MULTIDATA will gain access to other projects via NSI. “With the support, expertise and resources from NSI, we will be able to enter into bigger markets. We can also broaden our products and services range for SMEs with e.g. virtualization or ERP systems for midsize companies. Our clients will only benefit from it,” explains Ralph Urfels, managing director at MULTIDATA.

MULTIDATA IT-Solutions is active in the industrial, logistics and manufacturing sector.
