Cegeka achieved a consolidated turnover of 156 million euro in the 2010 financial year, a growth of 14% compared to the previous year. The ICT service provider made 9% of the growth from the acquisitions of NSI half way through 2009 and A.N.E. at the end of 2010. The operating profit before tax, excluding amortisations of goodwill, increased by 21% to 11.9 million euro. With these good results, Cegeka further reduced its net debt from previous acquisitions and recorded an operating profit of 7.6% on the turnover.

The organic growth comes primarily from the Cegeka Outsourcing entity, which grew strongly by 50%, and which also recorded a strong growth last year. Cegeka’s subsidiary company in Wallonia, NSI, recovered very well after a difficult year. CEO André Knaepen: “With five percent autonomous growth over the whole year, we performed very well in the aftermath of the financial crisis in comparison with the rest of the market. We will continue the strong organic growth of the second half of the year in 2011. Supplemented by sales from the recently acquired DigiPoint, we are therefore targeting an annual turnover of 190 million euro for 2011.”

Expansion of data centre must cover growth of outsourcing services
As usual at Cegeka, the annual profit is being largely put back into the company. Cegeka is investing 2.4 million euro to expand its data centre in Hasselt and support its growth. Cegeka often accommodates client software and infrastructure in its data centres in outsourcing deals. With the investments in building expansion, energy-efficient Kyoto cooling infrastructure and emergency power supply, Cegeka has been successful in increasing its data centre capacity by 300 KW, or more than 70%.

And with innovative back-up systems, storage and network infrastructure and virtual servers, Cegeka is also investing in data centre equipment to the value of an additional 4 million euro. In 2010 Cegeka invested a total of six million euro in tangible assets. The new data centre will be operational by the end of August.
