Social Security Sector

The social security sector is faced with various challenges:

  • Social security is under pressure.

  • Institutions must be able to respond quickly to social, economic or regulatory changes (ageing, increasing unemployment caused by the crisis, etc.).

“The social security sector is opting for ‘interoperability’. Interoperability means enabling applications and systems with various technological signatures to work together as much as possible by for example exchanging data or making data accessible”

Challenges for ICT in the Social Security Sector

There is a great need for process re-engineering in the social security sector - not only within a single organisation, but also throughout the various organisations. Back-office and front-office integration is therefore absolutely necessary. Applications must be able to integrate with systems to achieve this interoperability. The Cegeka SOA-based model (Service Oriented Architecture) offers you this flexibility for integration with other systems, data sources and packages. An extra advantage is that the solution becomes less dependent on technology.
